Definition of a Nurse:
The Nurse
is a person who has completed a program of basic generalized nursing education
and authorized by appropriate regulatory authority to practice nursing in
his/her country
Role of Nurse in Hospital:
Nurses
also play an integral role in serving the care to patients as per the doctor’s instruction,
nurses managing the caseloads of patients with intense care need and guides
them
In
2020, We are come to know that in Covid -19 pandemic nurses are very important
for health department. One thing that has become congenitally clear during the
covid-19 pandemic that nurses are taking place of guardian for those who are in
isolation ward. The nurses has the responsibility to communicating with the
patients and clear their doubt because it the communication is not effective,
the healing process will be inhibited.
Nurses
play a vital role in patient safety after doctor visit, it’s nurse duty to
present medication cross and ensure patients receive the correct treatment and
therapy.
Nutrition Requirement of Nurses:
In time of widespread nutrition is very
important specially for those working in hospital like nurses, doctors and
paramedical staff. 12 to 18 hours duty during covid-19 widespread change their
lifestyle such as not taking proper of diet and none care of herself/himself
which can be cause a serious problem for their healthy life. Due to this all
across the country they are suffering from COVID-19 pandemic.
So for
their healthy life is on risk they have must to take antioxidant and immunity
boost diet like micro nutrients. Micro nutrients essential to fight infection
include vitamin A,B,C.D.& E and mineral zinc, iron & selenium.
They
must prefer some foods such as cereals & grain, fresh colorful vegetables,
fruits, dry fruits, low fat milk & milk products.
They should
drink 10-12 glass of water along with herbal tea, ajwain milk, lemon &
honey water.
Instructions:
- Practice meditation and yoga
- Drink Lukewarm water throughout the day
- Drink Herbal Tea
- Increase the intake of Tulsi, Coriander leaves, Ajwain water, Ginger turmeric milk
- Avoid outdoor foods
- Avoid sugar replace it with jiggery and honey
- Use MUFA & PUFA rich oil like rape seeds, olive oil, sunflower seeds oil, almond oil
